Depot Management Systems

Efficient depot operation depends upon synchronization of several areas of work. The PSI Depot Management System automates operations, streamlines processes, and optimizes personnel and vehicle deployment.

For example, the system automatically assigns vehicles to services according to type, maintenance status, driver availability etc. thus optimizing vehicle usage. If technical problems are discovered the scheduling is automatically revised in order to provide the correct, or best fit, vehicles for all services. Vehicles with specified faults are not scheduled for service again until reported ready for operation. The system automatically allocates routes and tracks vehicles progress along them, monitoring their adherence to schedule.

The PSI Depot Management System also supports workshop operations. It monitors vehicle operation statistics and prompts routine period based services and cleaning. Based upon data concerning the vehicles usage, routing and working patterns the system proposes dates for maintenance, inspections and cleaning. Details of defects are held on the system and can be classified by type. Repair work undertaken on defects is also detailed in the database. This data can be subsequently analyzed to look for patterns and also to prove compliance with e.g. health and safety guidelines.

As with all PSItraffic components, the PSI Depot Management System is modular and flexible and can be extended to suit individual operator requirements.
