The PSI Depot Management System has some features specifically for bus depots. For example there is a refuelling optimization function that compares the fuel remaining in the tank with the fuel needed for the next service of that vehicle. If refuelling is necessary the refuelling location at the depot is shown as the next stop on the drivers display. This feature ensures that buses are not refuelled before departing on the next service unless necessary. It also monitors fuel consumption by each vehicle. Vehicle running data can also be transferred to the system whilst the vehicle is in the depot.
Tram depot operations can be made more efficient by the automatic route setting for a Tram and the assignment of the Tram/route to the switch control system. This reduces the workload for the operators and drivers.
Features such as these can be combined, thanks to the modular and flexible PSItraffic functionality, and bus/tram depots can be managed either combined or geographically separate.
