The AVMS location tracking module of the system continuously monitors the movements of vehicles in the depot using data from the GPS units, the switch control system and other detection components. Each time a vehicle moves the system checks whether it has reached its specified parking position. If not the system generates an alarm for the controller and also displays the alarm on the drivers display in the vehicle.
