Real Time Passenger Information

PSI’s Real Time Passenger Information System is based upon the PSItraffic telematics platform and is therefore modular and very flexible. This means that it can be adapted for use to meet the specific requirements of different transport operators and can be interfaced to existing equipment, such as displays or on-vehicle units, at minimal cost.

Using the VDV 453 interface standard, data exchange with other systems such as timetabling, rostering etc. can be easily achieved. Various vehicle locating systems are compatible and communications via fixed line, GPRS or radio are all possible.

The PSI Real Time Passenger Information System provides public transport operators with greater flexibility when extending or updating passenger information systems and is thus highly cost-effective.
